0304	ALBUMS (2) containing the history of the family firm in photographs, brochures, postcards. advertisements etc. The firm was founded by Mr.F.G.Harris who purchased a retail grocery business from Mr. W.E.Jones in 1927. In 1939 Harris & Sons opened a wholesale section, taking over the business of Burgess Stores (Godalming) Ltd., (the Album contains a plan and elevation for an addition to the Hindhead warehouse). The retail business expanded rapidly and in 1949 a site was bought in the Headley Road, Grayshott, previously occupied by Gamer & Puttick, decorators and plumbers. In 1952 after the death of the Founder, an illustrated booklet was published to celebrate the firm's Silver Jubilee. The New Grayshott Food Store was opened in the Square in 1970. In 1977 another brochure was issued to celebrate their Golden Jubilee. Finally in 1981 the business was purchased by Archer Perkins who moved the store to Farnborough, having sold the Headley Road site to developers who built the Summer House Court flats thereon.

1504	Dunlop, Flight-Lieutenant Dennis Aitchison of West View, Hammer Lane, Grayshott. Newspaper cuttings (2), one probably taken from the Haslemere Herald concerning Dunlop's awards of the Distinguished Flying Cross and of the American Air Medal; the other cutting, dated Monday August 4th 1952 is his portrait in flying gear returned from combat servicing patrol in an American Sabre Jet squadron in Korea. 1704	Grayshott Badminton GRAYSHOTT BADMINTON CT J TB 1987-1996. Match scoring sheets, some in a paper cover,some loose and the rest stapled in batches. Also accounts. membership lists and an annual handbook entitled 'Alton and District Badminton League' 1992-1993 Together with copies of two letters written by G.D.Pullen to Dr.Barrett each dated 3rd June 1996, informing him of the closure of the Club.

2504	Grayshott and Hindhead Winemaker's Circle. founded in March 1975. Handwritten 2-page account of the history and activities of the Circle by Mrs. Pat .at White, member, sometime secretary and chairman, from 1986 to the present day {2003]. The account is attached to a pink paper mounted with photographs of the Magda Trophy vase and a group of the competition award cups, with a list of the names of the cups and of competition categories. Also attached is a copy of the 1996 programmed and press-cuttings (6) from the Haslemere Herald, describing the various activities enjoyed by the members from 1994-2002
2604	Good Companion's Club: Minute books (2). Vol.1 November 1960 to September 1977. Bound in red moiré pattern boards, cloth spine. Vol.2 October 1977-May 1990-Bound in dark blue boards, light blue spine. Also a scrapbook of press -cuttings in green pattern paper boards, lettered in gold on the front cover ' Scrapbook'. A plastic envelope contains a few more cuttings and 14 photographs of members' outings, lunches etc. There is also a file with membership lists, dated 1984-C.1988.
2704	Grayshott Nursing Home, , Boundary Lane, opposite the entrance to the Surgery car park, empty prior to demolition. Three photographs, taken in April 2003. The building, originally an Edwardian private residence, was a hotel and then a nursing home. Permission was given on appeal for a block of flats to be erected on the site, which is adjacent to the Village Hall. Given by Mr. Ron Beech
2804	Grayshott Parish Council, 1902-2002. One hundred years of service. Six page printed account on Parish Headed note paper, compiled and written by Mrs. Pat White (d.2005) from various sources including the minutes of the council meetings, and J H Smith’s ‘Grayshott, the story of a Hampshire Village, 1978. August 2002. Together with a ‘floppy’ disk of the account.

3004	Grayshott Village Hall fund-raising quiz night in aid of the Hall, March 1977. With 18 teams competing, Hindhead Golf Club came out as the winners. 3704	ST.Luke's Parish Church Parish Documentary for 1975. 15 pages comprising the complete commentary by Mrs. Muriel Hooper and Mrs. Eileen Bond. Recorded in Tapes and Lists and Mrs. Bond's descriptions of the slides taken, which are on two carousels. Signed and dated Eileen M.L.Bond 29/4/03. With covering letter addressed to Dr.Barrett Note: These records were made in the Church's 75th Anniversary year at the request of The Rev.Stanley Hooper, the then Vicar of St.Luke's.

Envelope containing copies of photographs of Mr. and Mrs. Yarborough at their premises in Grayshott in 1973, when their wholesale and retail business (a fishmonger) won a display competition. A covering letter addressed to Dr.D.Barrett is also in the envelope. Photocopies.
4304	Yarborough, Mr.G.A. of Liss. Hand-written autobiographical account sent to Dr.D.Barrett and copied in typescript by him, June 2002. Gives an account of shops. Landmarks etc. of pre-War Grayshott and life in the area during the Second World War.
4404	Parish Council: booklets of the Service held at St Luke are to celebrate the centenary of the PC, 29th September 2002. Menus and list of those attending a celebration meal at the Village hall on 28th September. Also a copy of the Parish Magazine with notice of the award of the Hampshire Small Village of the Year plaque, and posters advertising an evening of entertainment by the Grayshott Stagers and the Primary School; wallet with photographs of a Centenary Supper at the Village Hall in September 2002.
