Larcome's butchers shop in Crossways Road c.1912, the shop is still existent today as Amery Vets and the front recognisable. Larcombe originally worked with Mitchell in Headley Road before starting on his own account at these then new premises in 1912. Of interest is that in the census and trade directories the name is spelt including a letter 'b', so possibly the spelling in the tile work, still visible today, is a mistake.
Three people in the picture are identified, extreme left - Ernest Larcombe, 2nd left - George Peskett, extreme right - Edmund Langridge.
